Scott Wilson, Managing Director, Consumer Marketing
An ex-journalist and former Head of Media, Scott was appointed Managing Director of Weber Shandwick’s Consumer Marketing Division in December 2005. Today he also shares responsibility as Joint Managing Director for the 150-strong WS Consumer Marketing network across EMEA.
In London, Scott heads up a 40-strong team of talented individuals representing leading international and UK brands including Microsoft EMEA; Mobi1, Harley Davidson, Samsung Global, Johnson & Johnson, Pernod Ricard, MasterCard and Zain.
Since 2006, WS Consumer London has won 28 of the 100 PR industry honours awarded to Weber Shandwick in Europe. In January 2008, WSC’s ‘Face from Space’ campaign for KFC was named Best PR campaign at the Media Guardian Innovation Awards. The agency’s ‘Coin Bridge’ campaign for MasterCard was named Best Launch at the European Excellence Awards and more recently Scott’s team won a European Sabre for the ‘Rebranding of Zain’ campaign in the Best Corporate Image category.
An expert in creating and devising integrated marketing campaigns on a UK and international level, Scott currently heads the All-Agency Steering Group for ExxonMobil (Mobil 1) in EAME and has experience working in Russia, CEE, the Middle East and Africa, Nordics and Western European markets.
Before being appointed Managing Director, Scott also created and led Weber Shandwick’s award-winning Consumer Health practice. Under Scott’s jurisdiction, WS Consumer Health was awarded some of the PR industry’s most prestigious awards including: 2004 PR Week: “Best Consumer Health” campaign; 2004 European Sabre Award: “Best European Consumer Health” campaign; and 2005 OTC Bulletin Marketing Awards: “Best PR Campaign”.
