Fiona McLachlan, Head of Media & Co-Head of Sport

Fiona joined Weber Shandwick in 2003 and has become an industry-leading communications consultant and specialist in engaging with business, popular, mid-market and tabloid media spanning both print and broadcast.

Fiona’s passion for media began in newspapers, in particular at News International, which culminated in her rise to the Editor’s key lieutenant at The Sun, for the duration of David Yelland’s editorship. Prior to this Fiona worked at both The Times and The Sunday Times.

Fiona has extensive experience in advising leading international brands on consumer and business media communications as well as delivering campaigns that maximise positive public awareness of her clients. In her role as Head Of Media at Weber Shandwick, Fiona managed the communications programme for one of the UK’s highest profile projects – Wembley Stadium – until its completion in 2006. Since then, she has advised on campaigns for Samsung, A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, Microsoft, MasterCard, World Football Idol, Yum! and many more.
