Nora Senior, Chair, UK Regions and Ireland

Senior PR practitioner with over 18 years experience in media and marketing consultancy. Currently Managing Director in charge of Weber Shandwick’s Scottish operations, member of the UK Management Board and Chairman of the UK & Ireland regions. Prior to that she was Managing Director of start-up company, The PR Centre, established by her in 1990. This followed five years with Saatchi & Saatchi’s Scottish-based PR consultancy, Hall Associates, where she was also Managing Director. Prior to that she was Marketing Manager in a UK construction company.

Nora’s experience covers the planning and implementation of programmes for UK and international corporate communications programmes focusing on image enhancement and profile raising programmes and has included economic development and large-scale government projects. Her professional skills on client accounts include strategic counsel, reputation management, and crisis management. She has significant expertise in planning and implementing media relations programmes for corporate clients, as well as start-up companies, across a wide range of sectors, including property, finance, healthcare, technology and FMCG.

Voted Scottish Businesswoman of the Year in 2003, she is a Board member of the National Trust for Scotland and Chair of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Group.

Moray Macdonald, Managing Director, Scotland

 
Moray has operational responsibility for Weber Shandwick’s four Scottish offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness.  The company offers a full service agency in Scotland including public relations, public affairs and design.   Moray’s role includes spearheading the company’s growing digital and social media offering north of the border.
 
Moray has a 15 year track record in public relations and public affairs, including a strong background as a senior political adviser in Scotland and New Zealand.  He previously worked as head of communications for Strathclyde Passenger Transport, was Director and Head of Research for the Scottish Conservatives and was a special adviser (media) to a cabinet minister in New Zealand's first coalition government.  As well as creating the award winning scotlandvotes.com, Scotland’s leading election internet portal, Moray is a regular political commentator for both print and broadcast media.
 
Moray’s experience includes managing large-scale consultation campaigns, stakeholder and community engagement, digital and social media, media relations, parliamentary and lobbying campaigns, and strategic counsel.  Recent clients have included Serco, Bristow Helicopters, Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, Barclays, British Waterways, Viking Energy, Talisman, AGR and AMEC.
