Moneyextra.com Hires Weber Shandwick As Retained PR Agency

Weber Shandwick today announced that it has been hired by the UK’s first price comparison website, www.moneyextra.com to become the site’s retained PR agency.

Following a competitive pitch process Weber Shandwick will take on the account within its London Consumer practice with immediate effect. Weber Shandwick’s role will be to boost awareness of moneyextra.com in both personal finance and consumer news pages, as part of a forthcoming relaunch following a recent change of ownership.

The campaign will feature a targeted program of engagement with key stakeholders in the media and more widely, as well as a series of creative campaigns designed to showcase moneyextra.com’s attributes to UK consumers.

Weber Shandwick Account Director Winston Eavis will lead a team of three on the account, reporting to moneyextra.com Head of Marketing Communications Jennifer Rose. Eavis said: ‘We’re delighted to be taking on this dynamic client at what will prove to be a defining moment in the company’s history. With a relaunch and a redesign on the way we’re looking forward to the opportunity to helping moneyextra.com cut through the crowded price comparison market, and to showcase its expertise to the personal finance community and to consumers.’
