Lotus put SLAM PR in the driving seat for new car launch

SLAM PR has won the consumer PR account for Lotus Cars, specifically to launch the car manufacturer’s first new model in 13 years at the British Motor show later this month.  Lotus, who’s factory, test track and design studio is based in Norfolk will use the SLAM PR celebrity network to ensure coverage outside of the motoring pages.  A reward for information on the exciting new Lotus car - which is yet to be named - currently stands at £10,000 from a national newspaper.  The SLAM team began their work with Lotus by taking part in an all-agency track day.

Molly Hooper, MD of SLAM PR commented: ‘Lotus is one of those clients everyone dreams about working on.  We have a really exciting programme in place which uses our celebrity contacts as well as topical news hooks to generate coverage off the motoring pages and in to the lifestyle sections.’

SLAM PR will also work closely with Rogers & Cowan who currently handle the company’s product placement and is a sister agency of SLAM PR.

Tracey Parnell, head of consumer PR said: ‘This is the biggest project in the last ten years for Lotus.  We engaged SLAM PR following their fantastic pitch and look forward to working with them on this project and beyond.’
