Weber Shandwick gains Investors In People accreditation
The largest office in the Weber Shandwick network, Weber Shandwick London announces today the agency’s successful certification as an ‘Investor in People’ organisation.
The widely-recognised Investors in People Standard provides a practical framework for improving business performance and competitiveness through good practice in human resource development and has long been acknowledged as a business improvement tool, helping organisations of every size, type and location to gain more from their people in support of business goals.
Following a rigorous certification process lasting just over a year, Weber Shandwick has been considered successful by Investors in People in adopting and maintaining the Standard’s three fundamental principles: Plan (developing strategies to improve the performance of the organisation, from business goals to leadership strategies); Do (implementing those strategies, taking action to improve the performance of the organisation) and Review (evaluating and adjusting those strategies, measuring their impact on the performance of the organisation).
Colin Byrne, UK & Ireland CEO at Weber Shandwick, comments: “Being awarded the prestigious Investor in People certification is a significant milestone for Weber Shandwick. As the most widely-recognised ‘gold standard’ for people-centric business performance in the UK, we are delighted that we have been awarded the Standard, which follows our recently awarded UK ‘Superbrand’ accreditation for the second consecutive year, our recent ISO 140001 environmental certification and our continued growth and success as a business. This is an extremely proud achievement for us.”
