Nick Rabin, Head of Broadcast PR

Nick brings 15 years of experience as a broadcast journalist to all of Weber Shandwick’s practice areas. He joined the company in 2006 from the broadcaster ITN where he was part of the senior editorial team and Editor of the ITV Lunchtime News. During his television career he has edited bulletins on ITV, Channel 5 and Sky News and has worked for the BBC and Associated Newspapers. As well as his experience making television news, Nick has also made current affairs programmes, specialist business programmes and worked in the area of interactive television.

Away from the television studio, Nick has worked for BBC radio and more recently as a television news consultant to Skai Television in Greece and has also been a tutor for City University’s Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism.

Nick consults on all aspects of broadcast PR, media training and crisis issues from a broadcast perspective.

James Warren, Chief Digital Strategist, Europe; Chief Digital Creative Officer, Worldwide

James Warren, formerly director of web relations, is now Chief Digital Strategist, Europe and Chief Digital Creative Officer of Weber Shandwick's worldwide offices.

Working on projects for clients across Weber Shandwick's UK business, James and his team also work closely with the company's 70-strong global digital practice. In the UK, the interactive, social and emerging media division is part of the ‘hothouse’ of specialist practices which includes Corporate Responsibility, Broadcast, Multi Cultural Communications and Internal Communications. This latest development showcases Weber Shandwick’s commitment to understanding advocacy in the ever-complex communications environment in which digital plays a massive part.
 
James is an award-winning PR consultant and recognised thought-leader in the area of PR and social media. He joined Weber Shandwick in March 2006 as director of web relations. Prior to that he was creative director and a founding member of Bite Communications, and General Manager of Bullet Online.

It has been acknowledged by CEO Colin Byrne and throughout Weber Shandwick that digital communications and social media are central to client strategy. The growth of our digital team headed-up by James, to a higher profile, central cross-agency function reflects this.
